GPS Tracking

GPS tracking is optional and set per person. To enable it:

1. Go to My People
2. Click Edit on the person's card
3. Toggle GPS tracking enabled on
4. Save changes

Once enabled, location is recorded during SOS alerts and check-ins.

When GPS is enabled and an SOS fires, the person's location is embedded in the respond link sent to contacts. When a contact taps the link and acknowledges the alert, they are taken directly to Google Maps showing the person's location.

If GPS is not enabled or the device could not get a fix, the respond page will still load but without a map link.

When GPS is enabled, you can view a map of the person's recent locations:

1. Go to My People
2. Click Tracking on the person's card

You can filter by time period (last hour, 6 hours, 24 hours, up to 7 days). SOS events are shown in red on the map.

Location accuracy depends on the device:

• App — uses the phone's GPS. Accurate to 5–20 metres outdoors.
• Pendant — built-in GPS. Accurate to 10–30 metres. May be less accurate indoors.

Location data is only stored when GPS is enabled for that person. It is:

• Only visible to the account owner
• Not shared with third parties
• Used only for safety alerting and tracking history

You can disable GPS tracking at any time via the Edit person page. Historical data is retained for 90 days then automatically deleted.
